Prince's F Everything Blog

In the original twewy, what is the original Japanese for the prince’s ‘F this’ blog? The joke makes sense in English but I don’t think it works in Japanese in the same way.

Thanks for the ask! Let’s take a look.

Blog Name

TWEWY screenshot in Japanese of Shiki talking to Neku: Shiki: 投げやりテイストのブログは1日10万ヒットしてるの私もチェックしてるわ! Neku: …投げやりテイスト…どんなブログだよ

Shiki

His blog, “F Everything” gets 100,000 hits a day!

Neku

“F Everything”? What kind of blog is that?

Shiki

投げやりテイストのブログは1日10万ヒットしてるの私もチェックしてるわ!

(His) Throwaway Taste blog gets 100,000 hits a day, so I’m checking it out too!

Neku

…投げやりテイスト…どんなブログだよ

…Throwaway Taste… What kind of blog is that?

The Prince’s blog is called 投げやり テイスト “Nageyari teisuto”. テイスト is the English word for “Taste” and 投げやり means throw/toss but carries the meaning of careless, random, irresponsible. So, “F it,” I guess!

F This Ramen, Part 1

TWEWY screenshot in Japanese of the Prince in Shadow Ramen saying: うまい…今、ここで死ねたら… この上ないしあわせだ!

Prince:

Exquisite! I can die in bliss.

F this ramen! F…for FABULOUS!

うまい…今、ここで死ねたら…

この上ないしあわせだ!

So good…

If I could die right here and now, it would be the greatest happiness!

Fans:

Omigosh, you hear that!? He F’d it!

He only F’s the stuff he really likes!

出た!王子のキメゼリフ!

王子この店気に入ったのね

He said it! (That’s) The Prince’s signature line!

The Prince must really this store (restaurant).

The Prince’s signature line is 今ここで死ねたらこの上ないしあわせだ, meaning “if I could die here and now, it would be the greatest happiness!” Or, “nothing could make me happier”, “it would be the best happiness”. Such careless words, Prince!

F This Ramen, Part 2

The line is the same but I’m including it cause the dialogue plays out a little differently with Ken Doi.

TWEWY screenshot in Japanese of the Prince in Ken Doi's shop saying: おいしい!なんてうまいラーメンなんだ . 今ここで死ねたらこの上ないしあわせだ! ALT

Prince:

Amazing! Is it OK for ramen to taste this good!?

F this ramen! F it to high heaven!

おいしい!なんてうまいラーメンなんだ

今ここで死ねたらこの上ないしあわせだ!

Delicious! What good ramen!

If I could die here and now, it would be the greatest happiness!

Ken Doi replies to the Prince in Japanese: バカ言うな!! うまいラーメンは生きてるから食べられるんだぞ ALT

Ken Doi:

Uhh…

Is that a compliment?

バカ言うな!!

うまいラーメンは生きてるから食べられるんだぞ

Don’t be (say something) silly/ridiculous!!

You can only eat delicious ramen when you’re alive!

Ken Doi says in Japanese: うまいラーメンは生きてるから食べられるんだぞ. The Prince responds with 確かにそうですね. ALT

Prince:

Of course! F for FABULOUS!

確かにそうですね

You’re right.

Conclusion

So there we have it. The Prince is overly dramatic and careless with his words in Japanese. So while it’s not literally the same meaning, I think it’s pretty close! Although we do lose the extra layer of him talking about dying in English, with the Reaper’s Game and UG and all.
