Notes

I love this game so much. This isn’t the most action-y scene, but it doesn’t make it any less important. Also included WIP-ish shots for Yasha.

Details

I should also mention that each one had a different approach/method - Yasha’s is shown below and the Asura one has sketchy line art and all the colours are painted on one layer with me trying to pick the colours myself (background is on a separate layer though). The fistbump is also on two layers - the foreground and background, but there is no lineart and I used the colour picker to get some of the proper hilights and shadows as a base.

For the final layer shots for Yasha: I wasn’t having as much luck as I wanted with the outline, so I just left it half finished in the end and focused on the lighting and shadows. The outline got the hard parts started (mouth, mask size and placement) and then combined with the shadows, it helped define the face better.

The cracks were done on a separate layer using black and white only. When place under the Overlayer layer, we get the final version.
