Basically Hanekoma convinces Neku to have a hobby and Neku likes CAT’s style, so why not try out CAT’s style?

Think I want this Neku to not have any or very little art experience. Neku picks it up rather quickly which could be a mix of natural talent, but also the Composer’s ability to just absorb knowledge from humans in Shibuya. Of course, knowledge is not the same as talent or skill, so you still have to practice it to get better, and what better way than it practice it in RG! Might cover that point in a comic.

I think Neku would have been interested in music, but being the Composer it’s just a Bit Too Much so he’s focusing on visual arts.

The holding multiple brushes is something we did in art classes. I don’t remember what it was called but something like a brush claw grip? Seemed extra appropriate for CAT.

Graffiti notes:

• The graffiti is meant to cover the black TWEWY frame border area
• Bottom left purple skull is Neku’s first(?) actual looking skull! I’m so proud of him
• Fishy at the bottom is based on the old DGP fish (and me maybe misinterpreting part of CAT’s graffiti). RIP fishes you were neat
• Light blue symbol in the bottom right was might be the new CAT Skull for Neku’s Game. Was going to be until I made super fiery and divided it up. If the player pin has been updated for NEO is what I think it is, it’s more aquatic now, which I associate with Joshua, so I would want to make Neku’s a little more fiery.
• Right is the leopard from the CAT mural going to the RoR
• Top left is a bird based on the “Angel” design in the RoR
• The square shaped writing along the top is pulled from the NEO trailer. If it doesn’t end up being HP related that’s fine, but I’m using it for the time being

NEW - 2024/10/21: Ok, I don't want to delve into NEO content since I want to keep this as it was originally, but huh. If you know you know! I might make a separate post about those things but I've been meaning to since the end of the Animation and NEO and...it...hasn't happened yet.
