Comic panel 2. Mother replies "Really." Father "hmphs" and rolls over to prove how down he really is.
Comic panel 3. Mother sits next to Father, floats her jacket off her shoulders and onto him. It glows comfortingly.

Notes

In which Angels can imprint feelings on another. It’s not guaranteed to replace how the other was feeling before. One could force an override, but the results may not be healthy in the long term.

In this case, Mother is offering something soothing while she works. Father can accept or ignore it. It’s tied to her jacket since it’s not only her clothing but it's like part of her. He could wander off with it and still feel the calming effects for a quite a while as if she was still nearby.

Details

This was originally after the A Healthy Dose of Chaos AU and from a timeline where Father a) had a crush on Hanekoma and b) confesses to him and c) gets rejected. After the rejection he starts wearing a bear hat which is only brightly coloured because I don’t know what its design will be yet. The cyan would help remind me to deign it but...it could become the design.

I say it’s from almost from another timeline because I’m not as keen on Father having a crush on Hanekoma anymore, but I figured I should share it. When I originally posted this, I figured that this might be the first or one of the few times Mother has done something like this, which is why Father is surprised. Nowadays, i might still surprise him that people really do care about him.
