Null Doodles

Collection of digital drawings of my OCs Null with a bonus Father at the bottom from 2024.04.30 & 2025.10.18. The top left is a happy present day Null, the top middle is an angry Null. The top right shows a distorted version of Null's coat pattern: "Null's coat Ivy brush REALLY messed up. But it made a sideways 8th note so it must be fate." The middle Nulls are when Null was a Composer. Their outfit has a blue outer coat and a green inner layer, and they are wearing the scarf Chisa wears in the modern day - a light blue scarf that shifts to green with pale yellow foliage patterned on top of it. The left Null wears the scarf and bandages around their eyes, while the right does not. The text between the two Nulls says: "You need a hair cut" & "I can't see your eyes". The bottom drawing shows present day Father with his hands clasped, eyes closed, and tears forming as he says some words of remembrance. Null looks down sadly in the same direction Father is looking. above Father's head, it says "Revisiting one important place they can't forget".

Details

All of these were done around Spring 2024. The main touch ups to this collection was adding coloured backgrounds and changing past Composer Null's left sprite to use the actual scarf colours. It used place holder colours that worked better with the darker colours on the right, so I brightened up some parts a little to balance it.

(Yes that is present day Chisa's scarf - it was a gift to her to help prevent her from feeling lonely whenever Null had to leave her for work when she was first getting her Soul repaired.)

As a Composer, Null also wore bandages around their eyes, believing they did not need to "see". Being a Composer they could sense everything around them mostly fine so it didn't really affect them. Although that didn't prevent them from being blindsided from The Incident (NTWEWY Spoilers), and they removed their bandages afterwards to show they would not be blindsided again.

Although at that time Reaper Father can now see the Composer's eyes, he remarks something along the lines of he still can't see the Composer's eyes and that they should get a haircut. Something Chisa also says, since they don't end up getting one until Chisa insists many years later.

And speaking of Chisa, the last drawing with Father and Null - "Revisiting one important place they can't forget" - it's referring to The Incident. I think I planned it to be where Father put Chisa's grave marker and not where she fell into the Void. Since her Soul was Voided she was forgotten by her human family, so Reaper Father made a grave marker someplace nearby or outside the village - someplace where it could remain undisturbed for a good while. This drawing is sometime after Father is reunited with Chisa, since Father did not spend any time with Null shortly after ascended to when Null reunited him with Chisa.

Ending on a fun note, one time I tried using Null's brush for their coat, it distorted really badly - it looked like the thing in the top right. Funny thing is it looked like a music note, and given their history as a Composer, thought it was kinda amusing.
